When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

\nIt seems to a faint and faltering man,

\nWhen he might have captured the victor\u2019s cup,
\nAnd he learned too late when the night slipped down,
\nHow close he was to the golden crown.
\nSuccess is failure turned inside out,<\/p>\n
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
\nAnd you never can tell how close you are,
\nIt may be near when it seems so far,
\nSo stick to the fight when you\u2019re hardest hit.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s when things seem worst that you must not quit.<\/p>\n
