they said..<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you were 5, you lost your pet,<br \/>\nYou cried a lot in grief,<br \/>\n&#8221;Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; they said..<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you were 8, you loved to dance,<br \/>\nDancing is for girls, boys play sports they speak,<br \/>\nYou protested and cried &#8221;Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; they said..<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you were 10, you tried to cook,<br \/>\nHe slapped your mother for making you work, and she couldn&#8217;t even speak,<br \/>\nYou heard her cry and your eyes watered &#8221; Boys don&#8217;t cry she said..<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you were 12, they beat you,<br \/>\nYou cried as you were bullied,<br \/>\n&#8221;Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; they said..<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you entered in college, you didn&#8217;t drink or smoke<br \/>\nThey laughed and called you geek,<br \/>\nBut by then you knew &#8221;Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221;<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>So you became one of them, you cursed, drank and smoked,<br \/>\nAnd other &#8221;geeks&#8221; you bullied,<br \/>\nWhen they cried, &#8221; Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; you said,<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>You liked a girl, she liked you back,<br \/>\nThe tears of joy threatenend to leak,<br \/>\n&#8221; Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; you remembered,<br \/>\nShe may consider you weak.<\/p>\n<p>She is romantic and expresses freely,<br \/>\nBut you could not open up to her and nothing heartfelt you could speak,<br \/>\nYou could not be romantic or expressive<br \/>\nAs being expressive is for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>When you both fought, she cried,<br \/>\nYou could not show the care and concern even when your heart did bleed,<br \/>\nYou are conditioned to supress the emotions ,<br \/>\nAs showing emotions is for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>Your mother died and you felt alone,<br \/>\nHow much you wanted to weep,<br \/>\n&#8221; Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; they said,<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>You became depressed and avoided your love.<br \/>\nAs even with her you couldn&#8217;t share and speak,<br \/>\n&#8221; Boys don&#8217;t cry&#8221; you thought she will also say<br \/>\nTears are for the weak.<\/p>\n<p>She came and held your hand,<br \/>\nShe said &#8221; I know how you feel&#8221;<br \/>\nYou can cry your heart out..<br \/>\nTears make you strong not weak.<\/p>\n<p>You were shocked and could not believe,<br \/>\nBut when she gently smiled, the dam of tears started to leak,<br \/>\nAll that you suffered flowed out<br \/>\nand you felt empowered not weak.<\/p>\n<p>You now freely laughed and freely cried,<br \/>\nRealizing you are just a human who can feel,<br \/>\nLiving your life to the fullest,<br \/>\nWith all emotions, passion and zeal.<\/p>\n<p>Some taunted, some stared,<br \/>\nand some thought you were freak,<br \/>\nHow can a man so freely cry?<br \/>\nIsn&#8217;t he afraid he would seem weak.<\/p>\n<p>But you are the strongest you know,<br \/>\nyou can stand on what you believe,<br \/>\nYou now teach every little boy you meet,<br \/>\nThat he can cry, dance, cook, express and freely live<br \/>\nIt is what would make him strong not weak.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apoorva Yadav Kamboj<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
